My guidelines to keeping my Bostons healthy and happy.

All my dogs eat the same food! I use an All Life Stages Formula which is suited for all life stages, puppy to senior. The brand I use and trust 100%  is Canidae "All Life Stages". It is a Premium food only found in natural holistic type stores.

It contains no corn, wheat, soy,  grain fragment or fillers and is naturally preserved. All listed can be a sources of food allergies in many dogs.

I have tried quite a few brands over the years, some with higher protein values like Innova Evo and Hundenflocken, even experimented with a raw diet. None that I have listed satisfied "all" the dogs needs. Either the protein levels were too high or someone didn't like the flavor... They just didn't work for us.

Canidae http://canidae.com has hit the spot! All the dogs do fantastically well on this food,and they love it!  There is never a kibble left behind.

It is not a single source protein like many foods. It contains chicken, turkey, lamb & fish.. I recomend this food to anyone looking for a switch, all my puppies go home with a 5lb bag of their own, and are encouraged to keep with this food, unless another food is agreed upon by both parties or a vet formulated diet is recommended.

We also feed Fromm puppy/adult as a switch-up from time to time from the Canidae ALS. They do equally as well on this food!

They also have a few goodies added time to time in  their food bowls. A tbsp of pumpkin to keep poops "firm" and anal glands problem free. A little plain yogurt, good bacteria for their guts, and just because they like it! They also will get rice, steamed veggies or cooked meats, never pork. All given in small quantities, so not to upset the food balance.

They also get daily treats! Never store bought ones though... way to many preservatives and other scary things added. They get baby carrots, apple wedges and sometimes banana! They love these treats, they have always been fed these so they don't miss the "Twinkies" store bought has to offer...
